Getting started
From install to your first QSO in minutes.
01
Install HAMORA
HAMORA isn’t in the App Store or Google Play yet. The download page will link to the official listings as soon as they’re live. Only install HAMORA from the official stores.
02
Set up in three short steps
The first time you open HAMORA, it asks for a few details. All of it works offline.
Where is your callsign from?
Choose the country or territory that issued your callsign, its DXCC entity. HAMORA suggests one from your device region, and you can search by country, territory or prefix. It’s used for your region, zones and awards.
Set up your station
Enter your callsign and name, and your licence class if your country has one listed. Set your home location from GPS, from coordinates or as a grid locator.
Your preferences
Time in UTC, local or both; kilometres or miles; Celsius or Fahrenheit; your callsign lookup. You can change any of these later, and no radio is needed yet.
No account needed. A HAMORA account is optional. You can set one up any time in More → HAMORA Cloud, for example to sync your log between devices.
03
Log your first QSO
On Home, tap Log QSO.
- Type the callsign. HAMORA shows the country, distance and bearing, and whether it’s a first QSO or a new DXCC entity.
- Enter the frequency, and the band fills in by itself. Or choose the band.
- Choose the mode: FT8, FT4, SSB, CW or FM, or More modes.
- Set the reports. 59 means loud and clear (599 on CW; digital modes use dB).
- Tap Save QSO, or Save & next to log the next contact straight away. The date and time are recorded in UTC.
Your QSO is now in the Logbook tab. Tap it for the details: distance, path, confirmations and the equipment you used.
04
Keep a copy of your logbook
More → Export ADIF saves your whole logbook as an ADIF file, which any logging program can open. HAMORA reminds you now and then on Home; you can dismiss the reminder.
Coming from another logger? More → Import ADIF shows a preview first, and QSOs already in your logbook aren’t imported twice.
05
