HAMORA Terms of Use
Effective date: 11 October 2026
1. What HAMORA is
HAMORA is an amateur-radio logbook and companion app.
- It never transmits. It doesn’t key, tune or change your radio. Its radio connection is read-only, APRS is receive-only, and WSJT-X is listen-only.
- You remain responsible for your operating, and for following your licence conditions and the law where you operate.
- Estimates, not promises. Propagation figures, band conditions and recommendations are estimates. Award progress is a guide; award sponsors decide credit under their own rules.
2. Free and paid features
- HAMORA Free. Logging, offline use and ADIF import and export are free, with no time limit.
- HAMORA Lifetime is a one-time, non-renewing in-app purchase (USD 49.99, or the price your store shows in your currency). It unlocks the Lifetime features listed in the app for the App Store or Google Play account you bought it with. It isn’t a subscription. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer HAMORA and those features; it isn’t a promise to run an online service forever (see section 7).
- Fair use of HAMORA Cloud. Cloud sync is for your own logbook, for personal use. We may limit use that goes far beyond that and puts the service at risk, and we’ll tell you first where we can.
- Other services. We may offer optional services, such as remote access to your own HAMORA Bridge, as separate purchases. They aren’t part of Lifetime, and their terms and price are shown before you buy.
- Purchases, refunds and restores. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms, and refunds are handled by them. You can restore purchases in the app. Lifetime isn’t shared through Apple Family Sharing or Google Play Family Library.
3. Your account and your data
- HAMORA is meant for adults: you must be 18 or over to create a HAMORA account or buy Lifetime.
- An account is optional. Keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us if you think your account was misused.
- Your logbook is yours. You give us permission to store, process and sync it only to provide HAMORA to you. You can export it (ADIF) and delete your account at any time.
- Information you give for callsign verification must be truthful and yours.
- How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Connected services
Services you connect follow their own terms: LoTW, Club Log, QRZ.com and HamQTH; APRS-IS; Apple, Google and the stores. You are responsible for the logins you enter for them.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- misuse HAMORA’s services, for example by overloading, scraping or bypassing limits;
- interfere with other users or with connected services;
- try to get around purchase or security controls;
- use HAMORA for anything unlawful.
We may suspend access that puts the service or other users at risk.
6. Intellectual property
HAMORA, its design and its software belong to Litesoc Sdn. Bhd. HAMORA™ is a trademark of Litesoc Sdn. Bhd. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in the app (About → Open-source licences) and on this website.
7. Changes and availability
We improve HAMORA and may change or retire features. If we decide to stop an online service that Lifetime includes, such as HAMORA Cloud, we’ll tell you in the app and by email with reasonable notice before it stops, and you can export your logbook as ADIF throughout. HAMORA’s on-phone features keep working where they don’t depend on our servers. You keep any rights the consumer law that applies to you gives you.
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change, and we’ll tell you in the app about changes that matter. Continuing to use HAMORA after an update means you accept it.
8. Disclaimers and liability
HAMORA is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that propagation estimates, recommendations, award progress or confirmation results are accurate or complete. You’re responsible for your operating, and for keeping your own copy of your logbook: export it as ADIF now and then (HAMORA reminds you).
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, contacts, awards or opportunities, and our total liability for any claim about HAMORA is limited to what you paid us for HAMORA in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to exclude or limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or affects your rights as a consumer, including under Malaysia’s Consumer Protection Act 1999.
9. App stores
If you got HAMORA from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your licence to use the app, and these terms cover HAMORA’s online services, accounts and purchases. If they conflict about the app licence, Apple’s agreement applies. If you got HAMORA from Google Play, these terms are your licence to use the app, alongside Google Play’s terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia in Shah Alam, Selangor have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim there; in Malaysia you may also use the Tribunal for Consumer Claims. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
