Remote frequency and mode monitoring
The same read-only radio view you have at home, through Cloud Relay.
HAMORA Cloud Relay
In testing — not available for purchase
How it would work
Before anything else
Not available yet
Cloud Relay can’t be used or bought, and has no release date. It launches only after its reliability and security testing passes.
Starts read-only
The first stage would show what your Bridge reads, nothing more. Control and transmission are later stages, each security-gated and not available.
The Bridge at home stays free
HAMORA Bridge on your own network is free on every plan, with or without internet. Only remote access would need Cloud Relay.
Sold separately
A separate planned yearly service. Lifetime doesn’t include it, and it doesn’t unlock Lifetime.
Planned capabilities
The same read-only radio view you have at home, through Cloud Relay.
WSJT-X decodes and logged QSOs from your home station, through Cloud Relay.
APRS heard by your station through Dire Wolf, through Cloud Relay.
The Bridge's health and the status of each connected part, through Cloud Relay.
Cloud Relay is designed so that only your paired phones can reach your Bridge, over encrypted connections, and you can see and remove devices and end sessions at any time. Details will be published when the service launches.

Planned pricing
Cloud Relay · planned
USD 14.99a year
Billed yearly. No monthly plans.
For HAMORA Lifetime owners · planned
USD 7.99a year
The Lifetime owner price is planned, not guaranteed: whether and how it can be offered depends on App Store and Google Play rules.
Cloud Relay is a separate entitlement: Lifetime doesn’t include it, and it doesn’t unlock Lifetime features. It would need a HAMORA account. These planned prices are for the first stage; pricing for later stages hasn’t been decided.
None of these exist in HAMORA today, and none is guaranteed to ship. Each would need its own security, safety and legal review first. Their plan and price aren’t decided, and they aren’t included in the planned Cloud Relay price. HAMORA today is read-only and receive-only, and Cloud Relay’s first stage is read-only monitoring.
A later stage of the Cloud Relay vision: a verified operator could change frequency and mode on their own radio, with every check enforced by HAMORA Bridge at the station: only what the radio supports, never while it's transmitting, and confirmed by reading the radio back. It would need its own security and safety review first.
Needs a radio with CAT control supported by Hamlib, HAMORA Bridge, A verified callsign
A later stage of the Cloud Relay vision: push-to-talk from HAMORA. The design releases the transmitter automatically if the app stops confirming you're still holding the button, after a maximum transmit time, or when you press an emergency stop. It would need its own security, safety and legal review first.
Needs a radio with CAT or serial PTT, HAMORA Bridge, A verified callsign
A later stage of the Cloud Relay vision: streaming what your radio hears to your own phone, encrypted and only to you. It would need its own security and privacy review first.
Needs a radio with a USB audio codec or an audio interface, HAMORA Bridge
A later stage of the Cloud Relay vision, combining remote PTT and audio with all of their safeguards: transmission stops if your audio stops arriving, and it's refused when the connection isn't good enough. It would need its own security, safety and legal review first.
Needs Everything remote PTT and remote audio need
Part of the Cloud Relay vision for supported digital modes. Its engineering scope isn't confirmed yet: it will be decided and validated separately, with the same authorization and safety gates as remote PTT.
Needs To be confirmed
Not available, not guaranteed
No remote control or transmit capability exists in HAMORA today. Each stage ships only if it passes its own security, safety and legal review, and some may never ship.
Plan Not Decided
No plan or price has been decided for remote control, PTT, receive audio, voice or digital-mode transmission. They aren’t included in the planned Cloud Relay price, which covers read-only monitoring.
Supported hardware
Remote control would work only with radios and interfaces that support it: CAT control through Hamlib, PTT by CAT or a serial line, and a USB audio codec or audio interface for sound. Not every radio will be supported.
Operator authorization
Only a verified callsign holder, on a phone authorized at the station, could control or transmit. It would be off by default and turned on by the operator at the station, never from the app alone.
Emergency PTT release
The design releases the transmitter automatically if the connection or the app stops responding, after a maximum transmit time, or with an emergency stop.
Transmission safety
Checks would run on HAMORA Bridge at the station, not only in the app: within what the radio supports, never retuning during a transmission, and every action recorded.
Amateur-radio regulations
Remote operation is regulated differently in each country. You remain responsible for your licence conditions and for operating lawfully, including station identification and any remote-operation rules where you and your station are.
Questions
No. Cloud Relay is in reliability and security testing. It isn’t available to anyone outside testing, it can’t be bought, and there’s no release date.
Not in its first stage, which is read-only monitoring. Remote control, keying the transmitter, receive audio, voice and supported digital modes are later stages of the Cloud Relay vision.
Each later stage needs its own security, safety and legal review, would work only with supported radios and for verified, authorized operators, and isn’t guaranteed to ship. None is available today.
Rules for remote operation differ from country to country. If HAMORA ever offers remote control or transmission, you’ll remain responsible for your licence conditions and for operating lawfully, wherever you and your station are.
No. HAMORA Bridge works on your home network for free, on every plan. Cloud Relay would only add access from outside your home.
The planned price is USD 14.99 a year. A price of USD 7.99 a year is planned for HAMORA Lifetime owners, but it isn’t guaranteed: whether and how it can be offered depends on App Store and Google Play rules. Prices may change before launch.
That’s the point of the design: your Bridge connects out to the relay, so you don’t open ports on your router. Exact requirements will be published at launch.
Roadmap features are subject to change, security review, technical feasibility and availability. Planned functionality is not guaranteed.
