HAMORA

Privacy and your data

Your logbook lives on your phone. Nothing leaves it unless you turn on a service that needs to send it somewhere.

On your phone

  • Your logbook, settings and a short local diagnostics log are kept on your phone.
  • Logins for services you connect (LoTW, Club Log, QRZ.com, HamQTH, HAMORA Bridge) are kept in your phone’s secure storage.
  • Before every update that changes the logbook’s format, HAMORA makes a backup copy first. If the logbook can’t be opened, a recovery screen offers to restore it.
  • Your phone’s own backups (iCloud or Android backup) may include the logbook, under your Apple or Google account settings.

Usage statistics and crash reports

Both are off until you turn them on in MorePrivacy & diagnostics. They’re two separate choices, and you can turn either off at any time.

  • Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) count which features are used, with fixed values only. Kept for 2 months.
  • Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) send technical details when HAMORA crashes, with personal details removed. Kept for 90 days.
  • They never include your callsign, QSOs, precise location, email, account or tokens, and there are no advertising identifiers.
  • Turning one off stops it at once and deletes what wasn’t sent yet.

Sharing diagnostics

HAMORA keeps a short log of recent warnings and errors on your phone, with personal details removed. It never leaves your phone unless you share it: MorePrivacy & diagnosticsShare diagnostics sends it through your phone’s share sheet, to whoever you choose, such as HAMORA support.

Exporting and erasing

  • Export: MoreExport ADIF at any time, on any plan.
  • Delete your account: see Deleting your account. You can also erase the logbook on the phone.
  • Uninstalling HAMORA removes everything it kept on the phone.

The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
